You are hereby notified that the above-named Respondent has been found, upon evidence gathered over a period of considerable patience, to be in breach of the following provisions:
- § 30.8aDrift of combustion products. Directing smoke, by inaction, over a neighbouring boundary.
- § 30.8bTiming against laundry. Lighting within nine minutes of a neighbour hanging washing outdoors.
- § 30.8cCombustion of unsuitable material. Introducing treated timber, plastic or a mattress to a garden fire.
- § 30.8dThe damp pile. Burning material of such moisture that smoke is the principal output.
- § 30.8eUnattended burning. Leaving a fire to its own judgement while attending to something indoors.
It is therefore ordered that the Respondent check the wind and the neighbouring washing line before striking a match, effective immediately. You are advised that continued conduct of this nature will be escalated. Compliance will be monitored. There is no appeals process, and there is no one to appeal to.
