You are hereby notified that the above-named Respondent has been found, upon evidence gathered over a period of considerable patience, to be in breach of the following provisions:
- § 23.3aOperation without response. Permitting an alarm to sound without any consequent movement.
- § 23.3bThe absent owner. Leaving the device sounding in a room you have already left.
- § 23.3cSerial scheduling. Setting eleven alarms at nine-minute intervals across ninety minutes.
- § 23.3dVolume selection. Choosing a tone engineered to be impossible to sleep through, and sleeping through it.
- § 23.3eWeekend application. Retaining a weekday alarm on a morning nobody needed one.
It is therefore ordered that the Respondent set one alarm, and get up when it goes, effective immediately. This is a final notice. No further warnings will be issued. Compliance will be monitored. There is no appeals process, and there is no one to appeal to.
This notice is a gift and carries no legal force whatsoever. It is, however, extremely accurate.
