You are hereby notified that the above-named Respondent has been found, upon evidence gathered over a period of considerable patience, to be in breach of the following provisions:

  1. § 11.1a
    Full deployment. Extending the mechanism to its limit without regard for what is behind it.
  2. § 11.1b
    Velocity. Deploying at a speed that transfers a drink from a tray to a lap.
  3. § 11.1c
    Mealtime persistence. Remaining reclined throughout the period in which food is served.
  4. § 11.1d
    The unannounced return. Restoring the seat upright at speed, without warning, mid-sentence.
  5. § 11.1e
    Repeat cycling. Adjusting the position eleven times across a two-hour flight.

It is therefore ordered that the Respondent recline no further than halfway, and not during meals, effective immediately. This is a final notice. No further warnings will be issued. Compliance will be monitored. There is no appeals process, and there is no one to appeal to.
